Account Manager
HCB Canada/Communications is seeking a committed, passionate individual with leadership skills able to manage multiple client relationships. This position requires a creative, results-oriented person. The successful candidate will be effective both as a team member and a team leader. They will need to be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They will be able to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and manage competing priorities with skill and grace. They will have the stamina to work effectively during periods of peak performance activity.

The Company

HCB is a growing, experienced organization that is ideal for the custom development of creative and unique fundraising programs. HCB's mandate is to develop and maintain lasting donor relationships for fundraising organizations of all sizes. Custom programs are designed based on the needs of the client and campaign. These programs are designed with built-in reporting tools to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of your programs. Each campaign has a personal campaign manager to work closely with the client to ensure a successful client relationship and experience.

Job Description

Core Purpose:

- Effective client relations, sales strategies

- Training/motivating of Campaign Managers to deliver sales/operations results for our clients

- To create effective campaign materials/strategy's that allow us to provide superb customer service to our clients
- Integrated sales projections and goals

Strategic Planning:

- Analyze outcomes to facilitate the development of weekly campaign action plans

- Discuss weekly action plan with each manager/callers and brainstorm sales/success concepts

- Ensure all plans are adapted to fit the strategic objective of each client

- Assist in development of measurement criteria, performance analysis and follow up recommendations for assigned campaigns

- Cultivate opportunities beyond the operations plan to deepen the relationship with clients

Campaign Management:

- Overseeing all aspects of the campaign operations, training, program results and reporting

- Determine, coordinate and evaluate training needs

- Develop staff and a team environment using motivation, coaching and mentorship

The Ideal Candidate

- Has a passion for not-for-profit fundraising

- They will be an enthusiastic leader who combines a results-oriented focus with an abiding respect for patron, donors and philanthropy

- Strategic thinker with strong planning, management, and organizational skills

- They must be computer literate in utilizing the research and fundraising tools available through technology. Familiarity Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) is a MUST.

- Able to communicate knowledgably and persuasively, and they will have excellent speaking and storytelling/writing abilities

- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate great individual initiative; able to control and move forward on several priorities simultaneously

Education/Experience Requirements

- Minimum Education: Completion of a high school education (Post-Secondary is an asset)

- Minimum Experience: 1-2 years managing experience (one on one client relationship)

- Call Center Experience is also a plus

- Knowledge of office administration

- Stress and time management


- Monday to Friday - 11:00am to 7:00pm


- $35,000 to $40,000
